Humphrey Campbell is known as one of the best jazz vocalists in The Netherlands. Since the 1970s Campbell, who is originally from Suriname, has been working with greats such as Jerry van Rooyen, Karel Boehlee, Hein van de Geyn and Joost van Schaik. He can also be heard on albums by Rob de Nijs, Paul de Leeuw, Greetje Kauffeld and Henk Westbroek. With his deep, warm voice, his diction, text treatment and appearance, he has been enchanting music lovers together with the CJO since the beginning of this century.
